Walter Owen Landers was born in June 10, 1896. His family gave him to Judge Lee to raise when he was 4. Walter said his family were lumber people, cutting trees and following that trade, nothing more is known about his birth family. When his family moved from Tennessee to Arkansas he met Thelma Bishop at church and they were married at the age of 19 in August 26,1915.
Walter was a barber throughout his long life and supported his 9 children one hair cut at a time until his retirement. He passed away
at the age of 98 on December 24,1994 having outlived 5 sons.
