John Frank was born in Dexter, MO November 22, 1930. John joined the army when he was 16 but said he was 18 in order to enlist. John fought in the Korean War and was posted in Japan. John and Ann Lane were married on January 21, 1962. It is believed John and Ann were married in Baton Rouge, LA where Ann was living with her parents and her two children, Lesa born in 1960 and Danny born in 1957 whom she had with
Charles Siebol, her previous husband. After John & Ann were married, the Army posted them to Ft. Campbell, KY where Teresa was born in 1963 and Tina in 1969.
At some point John became a minister and then completed his PHD in Psychology. John retired in 1966, and the family put down roots in Clarksville, Tennessee. John was a civil servant on Ft. Campbell and worked as the Sports Director for many years until retiring from that job in 1982. He then started an amazing adventure as a chef on merchant ships. The morning he died from a heart attack he was supposed to fly out to meet his next ship and a new promotion. Ann also worked on Ft. Campbell for 30 years running the daycare facilities and then doing budgeting. She died from complications from COPD and congestive heart failure January 20, 2020.
